Lauren and Stuart chose Praia de Burgau near Vila do Bispo for their perfect beach wedding ceremony. This is a long sandy beach surrounded with mighty megalithic rocks, with beautiful scenic landscape.
The ceremony was planned to start at 12:30pm. The bridal prep photography starts two hours before. That’s why me and Igor headed to apart hotel in Burgau early in the morning, where both bride and groom were getting ready. They stayed in different rooms within the same building, so it was quite easy to cover both bridal and groom prep. Lauren’s mother had finished doing bride’s hair and makeup by the time we arrived.

The ceremony was held on the Cabana’s Beach ( Praia das Cabanas, Burgau, Algarve) under a gorgeous flower arch. Lauren was walking to the aisle with her father and with two little flower girls in front, her daughter and niece. As a bestman and ring keeper Stuart had his little son.

Soon after the couple said “I do” and exchanged the wedding rings, they walked down the aisle. Their family and friends surrounded them to give warm congratulations.

The cocktails and dinner were held on the same beach in a cozy and welcoming Cabanas Beach Restaurant.
After the cocktail hour we grab the couple and went back to the seashore for a one-to-one session. I was so much impressed with the rocks around, which create wonderful background for portraits. I love doing such editorial style photography – dreamy, natural, elegant, fashion, emotional.

Reception started at 3pm with the traditional speeches, held by both fathers, which were so much fun. Well, all the wedding was full of fun and laughter! Tossing the bride’s bouquet, kids walking with veil, cutting the cake and feeding each other…

But the first dance and parents dance was so heart touching! One of my favorite moments of the day.
